spring in my step
sparkle in my eyes
it used to be that
my eyes didn’t smile
picture the crinkles
my crows feet
youth fades away
tis a life well lived
more life to be lived
hearts to be patched
love to be felt
joy to be snatched
the joy will come back
because this is
the way
that life goes
this rollercoaster
a breath before
the rush
and I’m all strapped in
ready for the ride
ready with a smile

Beautiful poem and very inspiring! I guess I’ve never thought of life as a roller-coaster but we all have ways we compare life, right? Loved it though you should do more poems! ♥♥
